Orange, Pineapple and Rum CocktailRecipe by
Sweet pineapple juice and subtly tangy orange juice find the perfect balance with rum. I’m not good at making up names of cocktail drinks so I’m calling it orange, pineapple and rum cocktail just to be descriptive. You may want to use vodka though instead of rum. That was my original thought, actually, except that I located the bottle of rum first.
- 1 cup orange juice
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ¼ cup white rum
- ice cubes
- Put the ice cubes in two glasses.
- In a small pitcher, mix together the juices and rum (a cocktail spoon, the one with the long handle, is ideal for this job).
- Pour the drink into the glasses.
- Serve at once.
For best results, chill the orange and pineapple juices before mixing in the drink. If you rely on the ice to make the drink cold, it will be so diluted with water by the time it turns ice cold. Updated from a recipe originally published in July 8, 2010
